First Federal Bank of Florida strives to be the prominent bank in the markets we serve by providing quality service in accordance with safe and sound banking practices, while responding to the needs of our communities and rewarding those responsible for our success.

This year First Federal Bank of Florida celebrates 50 years of offering a comprehensive portfolio of products and services for personal and business customers. First Federal has been serving customers since 1962 when it opened in Live Oak, Florida (Suwannee County) as First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Live Oak.

After steady growth built on a conservative lending foundation, First Federal expanded into Hamilton, Lafayette and Columbia Counties by the 1980's and began offering checking accounts. By the mid-2000's we expanded our reach within our existing market area, opened the John Flood Financial Center (Operations) and opened new branches in Nassau and Baker Counties. In the last few years First Federal welcomed customers and employees of Flagship National Bank (Sarasota and Manatee Counties) and The Bank of Bonifay (Holmes, Jackson and Washington Counties) into the family.

From the start, we’ve been equally committed to exceptional service and value. Today First Federal is a community based, mutual bank that serves over 60,000 customers from 18 retail branches and several lending centers in Florida. Because we are a mutual institution, we are owned by our customers and not stockholders, which allows us to be responsive to our customers' needs. First Federal prides itself on being committed to helping local communities flourish. We offer customers diversified financial services including personal and business banking, lending, mortgages, investments and more. We are constantly adding and improving our products and services to make banking as easy and beneficial as possible.
